Modifed Bitumen Roofing

We install and repair Modified Bitumen Roofing

The modified bitumen roofing system is a hybrid built-up roof. It has the benefits of the built in redundancy of the BUR, along with the added strength, flexibility and UV resistance of a modified membrane. Modified Bitumen or "modbit" membranes consist of an asphalt and polymer blend which allow the asphalt to take on characteristics of the polymer. There are several surfacing option for this system which include a factory applied mineral surface, a gravel surface laid in bitumen or a liquid applied coating that is typically reflective in nature.

Benefits of Modified Bitumen Roofing

  • Proven track record of performance
  • Superior waterproofing characteristics
  • Broad range of application methods
  • Wide choice of top-surfacing, including “Cool Roofing” options
  • With insulation, provides an even better-performing building component
  • High tensile-strength
  • Available as part of a fire, wind, and/or hail rated roofing system
  • Competitive life-cycle cost
  • Available with flame-free and VOC-free installation
  • Long-term warranties are available with many MB systems

STEEL Roofing

Need a steel roof? We can install it or repair it!
Steel is a robust metal, and has proven itself in residential and commercial roofing applications. Available in slate, shake, tile and standing seam or shingle profiles.
Available in the following profiles:

  • Steel Slate Roofing
  • Steel Shingle Roofing
  • Steel Shake Roofing
  • Steel Tile Roofing
  • Steel Standing Seam Roofing
DECRA Shingle

If you are looking for the upscale design of a dimensional shingle, DECRA Shingle is the choice for you. DECRA Shingle offers a classic look that features a traditional distinctive style, reinforced with the strength and longevity of steel. Available in a variety of natural earth tone colors, these colors incorporate a subtle natural shadow, which enhances the richness and detail of the roof.
DECRA Shingle is pressure formed aluminum-zinc alloy coated steel with an acrylic bonded stone chip finish. The stone coating resists fading and UV penetration.

Built-Up Roof

Built-Up Roof consists of multiple plies of roof felts laminated together with bitumen. Built-up roof material can consist of bitumen-saturated felt, coated felt, polyester felt or other fabrics. A surfacing is generally applied and can be asphalt, aggregate (gravel or slag), emulsion or a granule-surfaced cap sheet

TPO

As our most widely used and highly demanded single-ply roofing system, TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) offers several installation and performance advantages.

Installation advantages include:

  • Your choice of 45 mil or 60 mil material thicknesses (dependent on application).
  • Can be a fully adhered, mechanically fastened, or ballasted roofing system offering waterproofing, durability, and longevity advantages.
  • Is offered in wider 12 ft. sheets, requiring fewer welds on the surface and expediting the installation process.
  • Ideal material for re-roofing over a variety of existing roof membranes.

Performance advantages include:

  • Has a high energy efficiency rating that exceeds the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR minimum standards.
  • Most commonly offered in white, this membrane has extremely high reflectivity that helps reduce heat island effects in cities and lessens cooling requirements in warmer weather.
  • Seams are heat welded together, bonding the sheets on a molecular level and thus providing a more durable and weather-proof seal for your roofing system.
  • Is resistant to U.V. and ozone deterioration.
  • Is also resistant to mold and algae growth when maintained properly.
  • Because of its composition, this material is also extremely resistant to tears and impacts that are frequently the underlying cause of most commercial roofing leaks.

Also worth noting, is that TPO is an environmentally friendly, chlorine free material that can be easily recycled after its use as a roofing membrane has expired. It is also a great material to consider for those contemplating the addition of solar components to their new roofing system.
